Return & Refund Policy
If you are not satisfied with your Apple purchase of a product, please visit online Order Status or call 1-888-659-5842 for a Return Material Authorization (RMA).
For iPhone returns, please refer to the iPhone Return Policy section below. For eligible Mac, iPod, and third-party products, you have up to 14 calendar days from the time you receive your item(s) to initiate a return. Personalized iPods (e.g., engraved or customized in any way) may not be returned for refund or exchange under any circumstances unless such product is Dead on Arrival (see the section below for more detailed information on such Dead on Arrival products). If the item is returnable and you send it back to us unopened in the original box, Apple will offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. You must return the product to the Apple warehouse within 14 calendar days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product. Apple will assess a 10% restocking fee on any opened hardware or accessory. Products lost or damaged in transit must be returned in accordance with Apple's Products Lost or Damaged in Transit Policy.
Please note that Apple does not permit the return of or offer refunds for the following products:

- Software Up-to-Date Program Products (i.e., software upgrade subscription product)

*You may return software after rejecting the licensing terms, provided the software is not installed on a computer. However, software that contains a printed software license may not be returned if the seal or sticker on the software media packaging is broken.
Note: Apple recommends that you (1) use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns and (2) either insure your package for safe return to Apple or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you choose not to (1) use a carrier that offers tracking and (2) insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping. Please not that the United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is a 30-calendar day waiting period before the USPS will initiate a trace.
iPhone Return Policy
If you are not satisfied with your iPhone purchase, please visit online Order Status or call 1-888-659-5842 to request a return. The iPhone must be returned to our warehouse within 30 calendar days from shipment to avoid an $175 early termination fee. The iPhone must be returned in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, and documentation.
Apple will assess a 10% restocking fee on any opened iPhone. Shipping fees are not refundable.
Note: iPhones must be returned to the original point of purchase (e.g., Apple Online Store, Apple Retail Store, AT&T, Apple Authorized Reseller) with a proof of purchase (e.g., Shipment Notification, Invoice Receipt).
Service Cancellation
By returning your iPhone purchase within 30 days from shipment, your wireless service will be cancelled automatically. You will be responsible for all applicable usage fees, prorated access charges, taxes, surcharges, or other charges through the termination date. Please contact AT&T for more information about applicable fees.
Dead On Arrival (DOA) Product: System Failure Out of the Box
An Apple-branded hardware product is considered DOA if it shows symptoms of a hardware failure, preventing basic operability, upon its first use out of the box. If you believe that your product is DOA, please call AppleCare Technical Support at
Replacement: The same product that you ordered will be shipped to you at Apple's expense. AppleCare Technical Support will put you in touch with an Apple Store Customer Service Representative to set up a replacement order and provide the procedure for returning the DOA product.
Service: You may have the product repaired; however, once serviced, the product is no longer eligible for replacement.
Product must be deemed DOA by Apple Care Technical Support within 30 calendar days of the invoice date in order to receive a replacement unit.
DOA Terms and Conditions
This DOA policy applies only to Apple-branded hardware products currently offered at the Apple Business Store. As new products are offered, Apple reserves the right to determine whether or not this policy applies.
This DOA policy does not apply to third-party products that do not bear the Apple brand name. You may call the manufacturer directly with any third-party product issues.
If the product is deemed DOA by AppleCare Technical Support more than 30 calendar days after the invoice date, Apple's standard product warranty will apply.
If the product is deemed by AppleCare Technical Support NOT to be DOA, Apple's standard product warranty will apply.
Shipping will be arranged at Apple's expense for all products determined by AppleCare Technical Support to be DOA.
Apple reserves the right to test returned DOA product. If the condition of the product is misrepresented by the customer, Apple may impose on the customer a fee of $400 for wrongful return.

1-Click is a registered service mark of Amazon.com, Inc., used under license. 1-Click is a convenient feature that allows you to purchase from the Apple Store with a single click of your mouse. You must have a valid Apple ID to activate 1-Click features. You can activate 1-Click features once you've signed in to your Apple ID. Once you have activated 1-Click features, simply select the products you wish to purchase and click the "Buy with 1-Click" button. When purchasing products using 1-Click, you will have 90 minutes to change items in your 1-Click order (except for Electronic Software Downloads). Electronic Software Downloads
Using a valid Apple ID, you can select downloadable software products for purchase at the Apple Store. At the time of checkout, we will obtain an authorization from the credit card you have provided the Apple Store. Once credit card authorization has been received, you will receive instructions in the form of a link to begin downloading your software.
If the transmission is interrupted in any way during download, you can use your Apple ID and password to begin the downloading process again. Once you complete your order, you will receive a separate email acknowledgment that provides information about your purchase.
If credit card authorization is not received, you will receive instructions for completing your purchase.

QuickTime Pro Keys
You can purchase a QuickTime Pro Key at the Apple Store using a valid Apple ID. At the time of checkout, we will obtain an authorization from the credit card you provide. Once credit card authorization is received, you will receive an email notification that includes installation instructions and a Key code.

Apple will send you a confirmation of your order by regular mail when your order is shipped. If you have included an email address with your order, Apple will also send you an order confirmation via email.

Payment Methods
Credit Card
You may pay by credit card no matter which ordering method you use (Internet or phone). At the time your order is placed, Apple obtains a pre-approval from the credit card company for the amount of the order. Credit card billing occurs when your order ships.
The Apple Online Store U.S. accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa credit, debit, or check cards associated with a billing address within the United States and most United States territories. Click here for more information.
Debit cards and check cards have daily spending limits that may substantially delay the processing of your order.

Credit Card Security Codes
The Apple Store requires the credit card security code for your card for any telephone or online purchase. The credit card security code is an individual three- or four-digit number specific to your credit card that may be printed on the face of your card above the embossed account number (if American Express), or on the back of your card, on the signature panel (if Visa, MasterCard or Discover). Asking for and confirming your credit card's security code helps validate that you - and only you - are in the possession of your credit card and protects you from unauthorized use of your account.
Multiple Payment Tenders
You may use multiple payment tenders on anything sold by Apple (except another Apple Gift Card, an iTunes Gift Certificate, or electronic software download, such as QuickTime Pro). Split payment orders can be made no matter which ordering method you use (Internet or phone). You can pay with two credit cards by indicating the amount to place on your primary card. The remaining balance will be allocated automatically to the second card. You may also use up to four Apple Gift Cards or up to eight Apple Gift Cards with a credit card. A purchase can also be split between a Barclaycard Financing Visa card and another credit card or between a Barclaycard Financing Visa card and up to eight Apple Gift Cards. During checkout, if you are paying with a gift card issued by a credit card company, you can combine it with one credit card.
Apple Gift Card
You can redeem an Apple Gift Card in Apple Retail Stores, from the Apple Online Store, or by calling 1-800-854-3680. Apple Gift Cards can be used only in the United States. You can purchase just about anything sold by Apple (except another Apple Gift Card, an iTunes Gift Certificate or purchases at the iTunes Store), including products from both Apple and third-party makers. In retail stores, simply present the card to the cashier at time of payment. For online or purchases through 1-800-854-3680, enter or provide the 16-digit card number and 8-digit PIN (to be scratched off). Please keep the card in your possession until the order has been processed and delivered. The Apple Gift Card is subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Cashier's Check or Money Order
The Apple Store accepts cashier's checks and money orders as valid forms of payment. Personal or business checks are not accepted. If you wish to pay by cashier's check or money order, you may order by phone at 1-800-854-3680. Wire Transfer
The Apple Store accepts bank wire transfers as a valid form of payment. If you would like to use a wire transfer to pay for your order, please follow these steps:
- Contact the Apple Store at 1-800-854-3680 and place an order by phone.
- Obtain the final dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges from the Apple Store Sales Representative.
- Have your bank electronically transfer the total dollar amount of your order.
- Reference your web order number with your payment and send to:

If your bank representative has questions, please ask him or her to contact a Bank of America representative for Apple's account at 1-800-577-9473. Processing time varies among banking institutions, therefore the wire transfer can be delayed. Please allow one business day for the processing of your wire transfer.
Financing
Qualified purchasers may finance all or a portion of their purchases with the Barclaycard Financing Visa card. Not all applicants will qualify for the Barclaycard Financing Visa card.
Apple Business Lease
Apple offers payment through a variety of Apple Business Lease programs through Apple Commercial Credit. Lease terms range from 12 to 60 months.
To qualify for an Apple Business Lease, you must be an established business (corporation, partnership, or organization) with a two-year business history. If you have been in business less than two years, ask for new business leasing options when you phone in your order.
How to apply for an Apple Business Lease
Phone in your order by calling 1-800-854-3680. Your Apple Store Business Sales Representative can take your order and transfer you to an Apple Business Lease representative to submit your application. Your application can be taken over the phone in minutes.
Your order and application will be submitted, and your credit decision will be processed within one hour.
On approval, your Apple Business Lease will be faxed to you. Simply sign the lease document and return it via fax.
Once the lease document is received, Apple Commercial Credit (ACC) will submit a purchase order to Apple on behalf of your business. Please allow 1 business day for entry of your order by Apple.
If your lease is not approved, call 1-800-854-3680 within 30 calendar days and arrange for payment via credit card, cashier's check, or money order. If you do not arrange for an alternate method of payment, your order will be canceled.

Sales Tax
Apple Store purchases will include sales tax based on your shipping address and the sales tax rate in effect at the time your order is placed. If you phone in your order, the Apple Store Sales Representative will provide an estimated dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges at the time you place your order. If the sales tax rate for the state to which your order is being shipped changes before the product is shipped, the rate in effect at the time your order was received in our system will apply. The proof of purchase that Apple mails to you will include any applicable sales tax.
Tax-Exempt Orders
If your order is being placed on behalf of a tax-exempt organization or individual, please call Apple Store Customer Service at 1-888-659-5842. Be prepared to provide proof of state tax-exempt status for the state where the product is being shipped. The organization or individual name on the order must exactly match the state tax-exempt certificate. Federal tax exemption certificates are not accepted.
Hawaii Impost Fee
All Apple Online Store orders shipped to Hawaii are subject to an impost fee, which also applies to tax-exempt orders. The Hawaii Impost Fee is not a tax, but is a direct reimbursement for the cost Apple must pay to the State of Hawaii on the landed value of goods imported into Hawaii. The fee is applied to your order before taxes, and is subject to taxation if your order is not tax-exempt.
Only select products are not subject to the Hawaii Impost Fee (e.g., iTunes media, downloaded software, Apple Gift Cards, iTunes Gift Cards, MobileMe, and the AppleCare Protection Plan).
Shipping Options
Apple offers four convenient shipping options:
- Standard Shipping: This option is free on all qualifying products. Products shipped via standard service are normally delivered within six business days after shipment.
- 2-Day Shipping: For an additional charge, Apple offers this expedited shipping option for most products. Products shipped via two-day service prior to 3:00 p.m. Pacific time are normally delivered by 4:30 p.m. local time two business days after shipment.
- 2-3 Day International Shipping: For an additional charge, Apple offers this expedited shipping option on products shipped from international locations. Products shipped prior to 3:00 p.m. Pacific time are normally delivered by 4:30 p.m. local time within three business days after shipment.
- Next Business Day Shipping: For an additional charge, Apple offers this expedited shipping option on most of Apple’s products. Products shipped prior to 3:00 p.m. Pacific time via Next Business Day service are normally delivered by 3:00 p.m. local time one business day after shipment. Next Business Day delivery is not available for orders shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.
Signature is required for most deliveries: Most of our shipments contain valuable computer equipment. If you will not be at the shipping address to accept delivery of your product, consider shipping the item to an address where someone you trust will be available to sign for your package, or accept your package if a signature is not required for the delivery. Once your order has prepared for shipment or has shipped, we are unable to change the shipping address. Title and risk of loss to all products will pass to you on delivery. Please note that for deliveries that require a signature, if you are willing to assume the risks of delivering your order without a signature, you may authorize Apple to arrange for a delivery that does not require anyone to be at the delivery address. Undeliverable Packages: Occasionally packages are returned to us as undeliverable. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, please contact us to make arrangements for reshipment.
Failed Delivery Attempts: Most of our carriers make three attempts to deliver a package. After three delivery attempts, the package will be returned to us.
Order Processing
The estimated shipment date on your order is based on product availability, payment processing time, and warehouse processing time and does not include transit time. Payment processing will not begin until we receive all the information we need and full payment or a full authorization, in the case of credit card and lease orders.
Orders placed on the weekend or on a holiday will begin payment processing the next business day.
Orders for in-stock items that are eligible for same-day shipping must be received before your local time of 2:00 p.m., pending payment processing. Orders placed on the weekend or on a holiday will begin payment processing the next business day. Unanticipated changes in supply can affect product availability. Please confirm the estimated shipping lead time at the "Review Your Order" page for the most current availability information.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Some of our products are shipped from our international locations. Next Business Day shipping is not available on products shipped from outside the United States.

Products Lost or Damaged in Transit
For products shipped pursuant to Apple's standard practices in all but the last week of every Apple fiscal quarter, Apple will issue credits or replace products returned due to damage in transit or that are lost in transit. For products shipped pursuant to Apple's standard practices in the last week of every Apple fiscal quarter, Apple will not issue credits or replace products returned due to damage in transit or that are lost in transit. Instead, Apple will provide third-party insurance for damaged or lost products with the Purchaser named as the loss payee.
When not shipping products pursuant to Apple's standard practices but instead shipping via a carrier selected by you, Apple will not issue credits or provide replacement products for products returned due to damage in transit or that is lost in transit.
Claims & Payment Process: For all product damaged or lost in transit in any week of the quarter, you must notify an Apple Store Customer Service Representative at 1-888-659-5842 within ten (10) business days from receipt of receiving damaged products, a short shipment, or not receiving an expected order.
For product shipped during all but the last week of Apple's fiscal quarters, Apple will either issue a credit or replace product damaged or lost in transit and place claims and/or tracers on your behalf. Apple will issue a credit or ship replacement product to you upon receipt of the damaged product or confirmation of the lost product.
For product shipped during the last week of Apple's fiscal quarters, Apple will prepare and file a claim with the third party insurance carrier with the Purchaser listed as the loss payee. Once the insurance requirements are satisfied, you will receive a check from the insurance carrier for the purchase price of the product rather than receiving replacement product or credit from Apple. Or, instead of receiving the check from the insurance carrier, you can elect to assign insurance proceeds resulting from lost or damaged product to Apple and Apple will credit your account for the amount of the insurance proceeds. You will need to place a new order for replacement product. Apple believes the insurance policy claim limits will be adequate to cover any losses incurred by you. However, Apple will not be liable in the event the entire claim is not covered for any reason, including exceeding the claim limits. Title and risk of loss to returned product will pass to the insurance company upon shipment to Apple by you.
Prices
The Apple Store endeavors to offer you competitive prices on current Apple products and selected Sale and Apple Certified Reconditioned products. Your total order price will include the price of the product (on the day of shipping) plus any applicable sales tax and shipping charges. Apple reserves the right to change prices for products displayed at the Apple Store at any time.
Should Apple reduce its price on any shipped product within 14 calendar days of shipment, you may contact Apple Store Customer Service at 1-888-659-5842 to request a refund or credit of the difference between the price you were charged and the current selling price. To receive the refund or credit you must contact Apple within 14 calendar days of the price change.
Product Availability
Apple makes every effort to ship your product according to the estimated lead times provided by the Apple Store at checkout. The estimated lead times are in business days (Monday through Friday) excluding Federal Reserve holidays. Lead times quoted on the checkout page are for orders that are partially shipped - meaning items ship as soon as they are available. If you have requested a complete shipment, please add 3-4 additional days for transportation and order consolidation processing.
Although every effort is made to ship your order according to the lead time provided, shipping dates may change due to changes in supply. If the lead time changes, Apple will contact you via email and provide a revised shipping estimate.

Given the popularity of some products, Apple may restrict the number of such items that you may purchase. Any product limit restrictions will be posted on the Apple Store website. This information is subject to change.

Product Warranty
All Apple hardware products, including clearance and refurbished products, carry a one-year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. You may review a copy of the Limited Warranty on new products, including its limitations and exclusions, before you purchase, by clicking the appropriate link below.
Non-Apple-branded/Third-party products are sold "AS IS" by the Apple Store, but may be accompanied by their manufacturers' standard warranties. "AS IS" products are sold by Apple as is, where is, and with all faults, and without express or implied warranties from Apple. If you have questions about any manufacturers' warranties that accompany such products, please contact the manufacturer directly.
